In this 2 session workshop we'll be mixing & printing on fabric with dyes powders made from plants such as madder, marigolds and mulberry leaves. You'll come away with colour samples and a piece of fabric printed with a your own design or pattern.
You don't need to know anything about natural dyes or screen printing beforehand, all the basics will be covered as part of the workshop.
Session 1
In this session we'll mix our natural dye printing pastes, cover the basics of screen printing and print a test fabric patch with our mixed colours. At the end we'll discuss making our final designs for the session 2.
Session 2
We'll prepare your screens and print your designs onto fabric.
